WORKSHOP PROCESS
On October 18, we will spend the entire morning together at Fržek Studio. You will be able to write down interesting recipes, and you will even get some to take home with you. And you will also take home a surprise.
We will discover a world of interesting flavors and distant culinary worlds!
The price is €96 per person, but if you bring someone else, the price is €87 per person.
The number of places is limited! So hurry up and register.
Some of the dishes we will prepare:
– cooked pears with herbs
– butter crackers with millet and cooked blackberries
– meat on skewers with honey and rosehip
– young cheese
– dumplings with young cheese and nettles
– legume stew, several types of grains and roasted grains
And lots of other good stuff...
Where
Studio Fržek
The studio is neat and very suitable for a smooth and relaxed workshop. If the weather is favorable, we will also cook outside on fire pits.
When
Saturday, October 18, 2025, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
We will start with coffee, tea, and an Iron Age snack, followed by a brief introduction to the workshop and interesting princely society.

Polona Janežič
The workshop will be led by Polona Janežič - Flavours Revived; I am an archaeologist and researcher of nutrition in history.

Just as thousands of years ago, and just as the various inhabitants of the interesting peoples of Slovenia at that time would have eaten, we will learn what we assume everyone ate and what perhaps only the elite ate; at the end, we will enjoy dishes fit for a royal banquet.
